Joe „Satch” Satriani(ur. 15 lipca 1956 w Nowym Jorku) - amerykański gitarzysta-wirtuoz (gitara elektryczna), wokalista oraz kompozytor.Zaczął grać na gitarze w wieku 14 lat zainspirowany muzyką Jimiego Hendrixa. Od 1971 roku Satriani był nauczycielem gry na gitarze. Jego uczniami byli m.in.: Steve Vai, David Bryson (Counting Crows), Kirk Hammett (Metallica), Larry LaLonde (Primus), Charlie Hunter oraz wielu innych. W następnych latach grał ze znakomitymi muzykami jazzowymi, co znacznie wpłynęło na jego styl. Byli to m. in. Lennie Tristano i Billy Bauer.
W latach ‘80 Joe Satriani grał koncerty z Mickiem Jaggerem oraz brał udział w wielu sesjach nagraniowych różnych zespołów. W latach ‘90 na kilka miesięcy zastąpił na koncertach gitarzystę Deep Purple - Ritchiego Blackmore’a.
Pierwszy jego solowy album został wydany w 1986 roku i nosił tytuł Not Of This Earth. Za następne płyty - Surfing With The Alien, Dreaming #11, Flying In A Blue Dream, The Extremist - artysta był nominowany do nagrody Grammy.

Known for such powerful hits as "Two Minutes to Midnight" and "The Trooper," Iron Maiden was and is one of the most influential bands of the heavy metal genre. The often-imitated band existed for over 20 years, pumping out wild rock similar to Judas Priest. Iron Maiden has always been an underground attraction; although failing to ever obtain any real media attention in the U.S. (critics claimed them to be Satanists due to their dark musical themes and their use of grim mascot "Eddie"), they still became well known throughout the world and have remained consistently popular throughout their career. Iron Maiden was one of the first groups to be classified as "British metal," and, along with Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, and a host of other bands, set the rock scene for the '80s.
Iron Maiden was first formed in 1976 by bassist Steve Harris, who would soon join up with rhythm guitarist Tony Parsons, drummer Doug Sampson, and vocalist Paul Di'Anno. Before finally obtaining a record deal, the group played in local areas throughout the '70s, receiving a fair amount of London airplay. Parsons replaced Dennis Stratton, and the band made its record debut in 1980 with the self-titled Iron Maiden album. Although the release was recorded in a hurry, it was nonetheless a hit in the U.K. due to the single "Running Free." Iron Maiden's 1981 follow-up, Killers, displayed a harder approach to their music than before, and also saw the replacement of Stratton with Adrian Smith.

W szary poranek 8 stycznia 1935 roku doktor William Robert Hunt został wezwany do Tupelo w stanie Mississippi, aby odebrać poród. Po narodzinach martwego chłopca doktor szykował się do wyjścia. Gladys Presley powiedziała: "Chyba jest tam jeszcze jedno dziecko". Lekarz na to: "Nie sądzę". Ale ona powtarza: "Mam jeszcze jedno dziecko". Lekarz wrócił i tak na świat przyszedł Elvis.
Prześladowany wspomnieniem o zmarłym bracie bliźniaku, Elvis marzył, by wyrwać się z biedy.
- Dążył do perfekcji. Miał chyba poczucie, że wszystko powinien robić dwa razy lepiej - wspominają przyjaciele.
Narodziny rock and rolla
Legendarny producent Sam Phillips prowadził miejscową firmę Sun Records. To w niej Elvis dokonał pierwszych nagrań, które przeszły do historii. Miał wtedy 18 lat. Gdy po raz pierwszy przyszedł na sesję nagraniową, śpiewał jedynie ballady. Któregoś dnia w czasie przerwy zaczął uderzać w struny i grać "That's Alright, Mama" z jakąś dziką energią.
- Nikt nie spodziewał się, że Elvis zna ten kawałek, a tym bardziej że umie go śpiewać. Sam Phillips wyjrzał z reżyserki i zawołał: "To jest to". Było to coś innego, ale nikt z nas nie potrafił tego nazwać. A był to rock'n'roll - mówi biograf Elvisa.
